This policy explains what happens to information when you use Child Support Map (childsupportmap.com).

The short version

You don't need an account. When you download, copy or print one of our letters or the checklist, we save the details you entered in that tool. We don't sell this information. We run a cookie-free visit counter to see how many people use the site.

The letters and the checklist

The letter asking the agency to review an order, the letter asking it to collect unpaid support and the checklist for opening a case work in your browser, and the PDF, Word and text files are created on your device. When you download a letter or the checklist as a PDF, Word or text file, or copy or print it, we save the information you entered in that form: for example your name, mailing address and phone; your state; the agency you are writing to and its address; the case number and the order; the other parent's name and the children's names you typed; the reasons you checked; the amount owed and the date of the last payment; what you wrote about the other parent's job or address; and anything you added in your own words. We also record the page, the date and time, and your approximate location (country, state and city) based on your IP address. We don't save what you type until you download, copy or print.

We use this information to understand what child support problems people face, in which states, and to improve our guides and tools. We don't sell it, and we don't share it except with service providers that host our site and database (Cloudflare), or if the law requires it. We keep it for up to three years, then delete it.

Please don't enter information you don't want to share, such as Social Security numbers or full account numbers. To see or delete the information you entered, email hello@robinclaim.com with the name you used, and we will respond within 30 days.

The estimator and the helpers

The child support estimator and the "when does support end" and "can I ask for a change" helpers work in your browser. What you enter in them is not saved or sent.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request, to deliver the page and protect the site.

We run our own visit counter. It does not use cookies. It keeps a random visit identifier in your browser's local storage. For each visit it records the pages viewed, the site you came from, the time spent on each page, clicks on buttons and links, your IP address, your country, state and city, and your device and browser type. We keep visit records for 5 years and then delete them. We don't use Google Analytics on this site.

Email, children and your rights

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights.
